Christmas Tree sales success

Two great weeks of Christmas tree sales set to boost community service

Thanks to all our fabulous community members for supporting our annual Christmas tree sales, with a complete sell out of all our trees achieved! The trees were of a fantastic standard again this year - in fact even better that usual and the trees literally flew right out the door. All funds raised from the sale of trees and stands will again be used to support the community work of the Apex club, which has a long history of building better communities in the Wyndham and wider area.

Club President, Mr. Adrian Walker was thrilled with the result. "It was hard work, but very rewarding. The community really supports our efforts because they know the profits go towards helping the community, and not just into someone’s pocket." Many local charities and organisations have benefited from the Clubs Christmas tree sales over almost 30 years of sales within Wyndham.

Club members can now enjoy a well-earned break - getting to spend Christmas with family and friends. However there won't be much time to rest, with collection and recycling of the trees to take place on Sunday the 8th of January 2017. "One of the things which used to put people off having a real Christmas tree was figuring out what to do with it after Christmas. With our collection and recycling program, you're now all sorted" Mr. Walker said.

If you booked the tree recycling service, you will need to ensure that your tree is out on the nature strip prior to 8.00 am on Sunday the 8th of January 2017. If your tree isn't out ready for collection, we will assume you have arranged your own tree disposal.

Thank you for your support and Seasons Greetings from the Hoppers Crossing Apex Club. Merry Christmas!
